Charity Initiatives

Charity is really important to the U so there are a number of charity initiatives to get involved with or why not come up with your own idea?

At the U, we want to encourage everyone on campus, our staff, Uni staff and students, to get involved to support a range of charities.

In 2011, we have run programs such as the World's Greatest Shave, Jeans for Genes day, and our CEO participated in the CEO Sleepout.

If you would like to get involved in charity programs on campus, email campus-life@newcastle.edu.au, or register below.

What you can do:

The U gets involved in lots of charity initiatives each year including Movember, CEO Sleep out, World’s Greatest Shave and Jeans for Genes Day. You can help out by fundraising, raising awareness and helping out at charity events. The U is also keen to give support to other charities so if you have an idea, drop in to the Glasshouse and the team will be happy to have a chat to you.

What you get out of it:

Knowing you are helping others is a great feeling and you will also meet other people who are passionate about charity. As well as the good karma, you will also have access to the U rewards scheme.
